3 weeks old

I took Anthony to the mall and to Costco today all by myself; venturing out without another pair of hands to help me will take some getting used to! He slept most of the time, so it wasn't really an issue. But, when he woke up screaming for his next meal, you should have seen the looks I was getting in the store! What a scene we caused! I guess I'll have to get used to that too.

Anthony turned 3 weeks old on Sunday. We can't believe how much he has changed and grown! He has longer periods of "awake time" now and is very alert. Check out the video below.. whether or not it's a real smile, it's pretty darn cute! =)~

Sept 26 2008

First visit with Pediatrician

Doc says we have a "healthy baby boy" and everything is looking great so far! Anthony weighs 10 pounds & 9 ounces and he's now 22 3/4" long. (93 percentile for weight and 98 percentile for height)... Here's a couple more pics. (click on them to view larger size)

Thank you everyone for all the well-wishes, email & cards! I hope to be able to get this blog updated soon. Funny how the hours and days fly by now. I finally understand why my friends with children don't have time to respond to my email everyday!

We are doing well and LOVE having our son at home with us. Here's a few pics for now....

Non-Stress Test - September 5th

Another non-stress test today... everything still looks great! They tell me that not only does he not appear to be under any stress during contractions, but they think he's enjoying them! lol

It's brutally hot for me today! It's about 100 degrees over here and of all days for the the A/C not to work!! UGH!! We've had the A/C on ALL day and came home to 88 degrees in the house with the A/C blowing hot air! Anthony was going to run out and buy me a portable A/C unit but everywhere is sold out; figures!

We are still on for the induction tomorrow... YEAH!!! We will call the hospital at 7am and they will let us know what time to come in. We're finally going to get to meet Anthony IV!

41.5 week check-up

STILL only dialated to 1 centimeter. Doctor says we should just plan for the induction on Saturday. This baby is in no hurry to come out and that it's unlikely that I'll go into labor before then. *sigh* He also says he hopes we didn't bother washing/packing any newborn sized clothes!

Non-Stress Test - September 2nd

9 days past our due date and counting!
Still no stress! =) Everything is good... we have an exam tomorrow and then another non-stress test scheduled for Friday. If nothing happens before then, we are still on track to be induced on Saturday.

Non-Stress Test - August 29th

1 week past our due date and counting!
Everything went great at the non-stress test. The baby is doing great in there and surrounded by plenty of fluid. We have another test scheduled for Tuesday morning and then again on Friday.

41 week check-up

4 days past our due date and coutning!
Technically, we aren't 41 weeks until tomorrow. But, we had our Doctor's appointment today. Everything is still looking good. I'm dialated to 1 centimeter. I had a very uncomfortable exam and the midwife did a little poking around and stretching in there in hopes of getting things moving. Tomorrow, we go back in for a non-stress test for the baby.

40 week check-up

We had our 40 week check-up today. The baby is doing fine and everything is looking good. His head is right in position and very low. Our next appointment is scheduled for next Thursday; they will also do a non-stress test at that time. And just in case we haven't delivered by then, they've scheduled our induction date for September 6th. Hopefully, we wont have to wait that long!

39 week check-up

We had a check-up today at the Doctor's office... everything is checking out good and healthy! My belly is measuring on the large side of the scale and the Doctor expects we've got quite the little Bruiser in there!
I was surprised they didn't do an internal exam. But, they say they don't start doing that until 40 weeks. They've scheduled our next appointment for next Friday, the 22nd. They advised me to drink lots of water and try to go for walks to get things moving.
