Christmas & Week 16

Baby's First Christmas!!
We went over to Uncle Chris' house for dinner on Christmas Eve. We had a very nice dinner, exchanged gifts and enjoyed watching Taylor try to get the baby from Sarah; Sarah is quite the baby hog! LOL! Daddy decided to keep tradition going and he made his first attempt at baked clams! YUM!

We spent Christmas morning opening gifts at home and had a lot of fun playing with Anthony and watching him discover his new toys. Everything goes right into his mouth now! Then we went over to Grandma's house for Christmas dinner. We exchanged gifts there and then had a huge crab feast for dinner.

He rolled over!

Anthony rolled over for the first time today and I just happened to be snapping pictures of him when he did it!

15 weeks old & a picture with Santa

Anthony had his picture taken with Santa this week. To our delight, he didn't cry or even react to Santa. Daddy kept getting Anthony to smile but as soon as he'd jump out of the way of the picture, Anthony would stop smiling!

Anthony is exploring and touching things more and more everyday. He is grabbing everything near him including daddy's nose and the glasses off mommy's face!

The Christmas tree is up and all decorated. We hung the "Baby's First Christmas" ornament that Grandma gave us when he was born. And our friends Antonia & Steve sent us a beautiful pillow ornament personalized with Anthony's name; it's adorable! And we decorated a gingerbread house! We are all ready for Christmas!(see the week 15 link for pictures of the ornaments and house!)

14 weeks old

We picked up our Christmas tree this week. Between time with mommy and time with daddy, I think Anthony has had his fill of Christmas shopping! He's spent more time in his car seat this week then in the last 13 weeks combined! But, he does loves to be out and see new sites and new people. We are going to get a picture with Santa this week!

13 weeks old

Anthony has really started to notice and focus on objects around him. Of course, like all men, he really likes the tv remote! He is constantly eating his hands now too. We went shopping on Saturday with Grandma. Grandma pushed him around in the stroller while I shopped. It was very cute to hear him laughing out loud from a couple racks away. Grandma was entertaining him with the classic, "ahhhh boo!" Going back to work this past week was rough for me. I'm happy that I get to come home at lunch time and that I have Fridays off; makes my work week go by a little faster. Daddy is really enjoying his time at home with the baby though. I'm really happy that they have the opportunity to spend so much time together.

12 weeks old - Thanksgiving

12 weeks already? Wow, that went by fast! We spent the first part of Thanksgiving day at Grandma's house. We had a yummy early meal with Grandma, Auntie Diane, Aaron & Kevin. Grandma did a great job despite her stove going out on her! Then we headed over to Aunt Michelle's for another meal. Everything was fantastic over there too! And we got to take home lots of leftovers! YUM! I had to go back to work on Monday; that's all I'm gonna say about that! I think we are going to go pick out a Christmas tree tomorrow. We can't wait to get the tree up; Anthony is going to love watching the tree lights!

11 weeks old

Anthony is talking and laughing more than ever now. He loves to watch TV too! Nikki gave us some Baby Einstein videos and he can't take his eyes off the screen when it's on! Cindy and Alison came by for a visit on Friday. (picture of Anthony & Alison below) Anthony really likes to watch other kids and babies!

10 weeks old

Anthony is really starting to "talk" a lot more and he's giving us a lot more giggles! Grandma & Auntie came by for a visit yesterday; they took us to Chevy's for lunch. Anthony sat next to Auntie at the restaurant and had a nice conversation with her before falling asleep. Daddy had training all day on Thursday and Friday and then has to work all weekend. We are looking forward to Monday when he'll be able to spend lots of time with us.

I'm sad to report that I dropped & broke my little camera last night! UGH!! Hopefully, I'll be able to get a new camera soon! =(

9 weeks old

We had a routine appointment with the pediatrician this week. The doctor reports that Anthony is very healthy! He weighed in at 15.6lbs and measured 24.75". That puts him in the 99% group for his weight and 96% for length. I can't believe how big he is getting! I wish he'd stay small for awhile!

Daddy went back to work this weekend. We miss him when he's not here!! =( And it only makes me realize that my return to work is fast approaching. I sooo don't want to go back! I need to start buying some Lottery tickets!

We had a visit this weekend from Auntie Diane and cousins Aaron & Kevin. Anthony is fascinated by his cousins; he can't take his eyes off of them. He also really enjoys long conversations with his Auntie.

8 weeks & Halloween

Well, we didn't take Anthony out to "trick or treat"; it was too cold and rainy. But, he helped us pass out candy to the few trick-or-treaters that we did get. We did go to a Halloween party on Friday afternoon. Although, he slept through the party! =)~ Auntie Diane came by for a visit on Saturday afternoon.

The "World's Strongest Baby" costume was a gift from our friends Dan & Audra and the Halloween sleeper was a gift from Grandma Cindy. Thanks Grandma, Dan & Audra!
